FAQ

Book scanning questions.

Destructive or non-destructive scanning?

Destructive scanning removes the spine for high-speed feeding — fastest and lowest cost. Non-destructive scanning images the open book in a cradle, so the book can be returned intact.

Which resolution should I choose?

300 dpi suits most modern books. 400 dpi helps with small type and formulas. 600 dpi is for archival or image-heavy material.

How do I ship books to you?

By box, pallet or container to our US warehouses. We send shipping instructions with your quote and a manifest within 48 hours of receipt.

Do you keep copies of my files?

No. Files are removed from our systems within 30 days of confirmed delivery unless you request longer retention.
