Common questions.
Is training on scanned books legal?
US courts have treated scanning lawfully purchased books as fair use, while pirated copies led to major settlements. We only scan books that were bought and physically owned, and we document each one. We're not a law firm; your counsel should review your specific use.
What do I receive?
For every book: the scan in your chosen format, OCR text, metadata and a provenance record. Delivered in weekly batches to your cloud storage.
How is it priced?
One all-in price per delivered book, covering sourcing, scanning, OCR and documentation. You never pay for duplicates or for books we couldn't deliver.
